It was a classic example of clothes stealing the show from the showstoppers. And it happened at Signature 7 Sensations Fashion Tour where fashion gurus Narendra Kumar Ahmed and Zubair Kirmani were so impressive with their bold and edgy fashion collection that they completelty overshadowed the presence of Bollywood stars Celina Jaitely and Rahul Bose sporting dresses with bold cuts and chic designs in flamboyant colours.
Inspired by the lifestyle of a poet simple yet strong, Zubair lined up a classy collection of contemporary dresses depicting the idea of looking traditional in Westernwear. His collection was a treat for the eyes as the designer skillfully played up with luxurious fabrics, basically chiffon to beautify the chic designs on black, grey and pink gowns which highlighted the theme, Ecstasy. “The word ecstasy defines the mood of my collection and has been inspired by the lifestyle of a poet. It is both uplifting and blissful. My collection installs the atmosphere associated with being gracefully expressive yet romantically beautiful, elevating and uplifting,” said Zubair.
Meanwhile, Narendra Kumar assembled a beautifully conceptualised idea of wearing modern Western outfits at parties, keeping in mind Indian traditions. His range comprised long and short body-con dresses with a sporty element in a bold juxtaposition of georgettes and taffetas with unusual metallic techno-fabric and mesh. Thus his collection was successful in widening the eyeballs and gathering huge wows. “My collection explores the theme of ecstasy as an emotion evoked through high energy adrenaline rush which transcends the prosaic existence. I have mainly focussed on tailoring and a constructed silhouette. The collection is a perfect partywear for the modern extrovert woman who is not afraid of facing the spotlight,” stated Narendra.
Post-show, Celina said she was happy after making it to the ramp after a long break from fashion shows that had once opened the doors for her entry into Bollywood. “I am thankful to the designers that they made me look so gorgeous and I am feeling wonderful to be back,” said Celina.
Actor Rahul Bose did justice to the ramp and was able to bowl out the audience with his breathtaking walk. “First of all, I want to thank Signature for choosing me and believing in me for this. I never thought I could be a showstopper but I am very excited and extremely overwhelmed by the response and applause I got,” the actor said
